My dear people of St. Thomas Parish:
Hearty congratulations upon you anniversary and upon your many achievements. The fact that you are not old, as parishes go, makes your accomplishments the more praise-worthy. Bravely making a difficult venture of faith successful in the union of two congregations, you have been blessed by splendid leadership. You now possess one of the most beautiful churches and one of the most complete parish plants in the mid-west. Your work among children and young people has been most fruitful. The deep spiritual tone of your devotion and worship is inspiring. Through the years ahead may you continue zealously to hold aloft that shining faith in a living and a loving God who alone has the light for a dark world and the strength to share for every human task.
